Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.COM) -- The Civic Center will be closed to traffic and pedestrians on Thursday, December 13 due to elevator work that was scheduled.
The work will implact elevator operation and City hall access.
A crane will lift elevator parts to the roof of City Hall and it will be parked in the civic center beginning in the early morning and ending later in the day.
The time of completion of the elevator work is unknown.
For safety reasons, the civic center will be closed to traffic and pedestrians on Thursday until the crane is removed.
City Hall doors and walkways on the civic center side will not be accessible and through traffic and parking will not be allowed during this time.
Both City Hall elevators will be out of service beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and lasting a few hours because of the elevator renovation work being done from the roof access.
