Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Hamm's Bear loomed large over the Cloquet skyline as the Nordlager Boys came to town Saturday.

That's the name of one of the oldest chapters of the Brewery Collectibles Club of America.

The club held its annual swap meet today at the Northeastern Saloon on Cloquet's Dunlap Island.

Beer can fans came from as far as Herbster, Wisconsin and New Ulm, Minnesota.

Club members say interest in the hobby is up now that so many small breweries are around.

"Yeah, it is. They're coming out with a lot more cans now, too, locally which is nice," said Chris Olson, of the BCCA Nordlager Chapter, "I think Bent Paddle has five different cans to choose from. Minnesota in whole has tons of new cans."

According to club members, interest remains high in beer brands from the Twin Ports' brewing heyday prior to 1972.
