Hibbing, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Health officials will be warning the public about the dangers of synthetic drugs and substance abuse at a community gathering.
An alcohol and drug abuse coordinator with the Minnesota Department of Health will be holding a community presentation in Hibbing to educate the public about current substance abuse trends.
The meeting will focus on synthetic drugs (marijuana and bath salts,) prescription drugs, and caffeine/energy drinks.
The event will be held Nov. 9th from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Hibbing High School Auditorium. It is sponsored by the Hibbing Chemical Health Advisory Committee and Fairview Range and ISD 701.
It is free and open to the public.
