Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)-- A deadline for disaster loans to help people affected by June's historic flood is being extended to February 28th.
An abundance of people in the Northland are still in the process of filling out the paperwork to receive financial aid to stay in their homes.
Anyone that has flood damage, and doesn't know how they are going to pay for it, is encouraged to contact a case manager as soon as possible.
"Technically you needed to apply for federal disaster loans to qualify for the state loans but there are ways of working through the system to see if you can get a late application in for the federal loans," said Drew Digby, the Long Term Recovery Manger with Carlton County.
