Distracted Driving Leads to Two Car Crash

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Distracted driving may be to blame for a morning accident on Rice Lake Road.

It happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The 21-year old driver of a 2002 GMC Sierra told Duluth police she became distracted when she reached down for something and when she realized a car was in front of her, she couldn't stop in time.

The crash sent the 41 year old driver of a Chevy Impala to St. Luke's hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police cited the 21-year-old with inattentive driving and no seat belt.
