Dog Takes Bullet for Owner

Staten Island, New York (Northland's NewsCenter) -- A dog took a bullet for his owner after a delivery man posed as a home-invader as a FedEx deliveryman, according to KSEE news.

KSEE says Kilo the pitbull was shot in the head when the intruder tried to push his owner, Justin Becker of Graniteville, claiming he had a package to deliver.

Becker, 32, pushed the armed intruder to the ground. Kilo stuck his head out the door and the suspect pulled the trigger, according to KSEE.

The bullet ricocheted off his skull and through his neck, which is likely to give the pup a chance to survive.
