Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Duluth Police Department says that a suspect in an armed robbery from April of 2012 has finally been arrested.

21-year-old Solomon Byrd was arrested on Tuesday on a felony warrant for first degree aggravated robbery. As authorities were setting up a perimeter on the 300 block of North 28th Avenue West, Byrd tried to escape the house by jumping off a second-story deck. He was immediately arrested.

Byrd is suspected in an armed robbery that occurred at an apartment in the Central Hillside. Byrd and another man robbed the resident at gunpoint and stole money. A 17-year old juvenile male was arrested in the incident, but Byrd fled.

Police attempted to arrest him in early September, but he broke free from handcuffs and fled. Just three days later he was able to evade police again by jumping out of a window of an apartment.

He is currently being help in the St. Louis County Jail.
