Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A Duluth man has been arrested after allegedly robbing another man at gunpoint in Downtown Duluth.
Duluth Police were called to the intersection of Lake Avenue and Fourth Street just after 11 on Wednesday for an armed robbery.
A 25–years–old man said two suspects approached him, and one man held a handgun. The other man demanded the victim empty his pockets before they both took off.
Officers located Justin Dillard Thomas who had showed the handgun, but he didn't have it with him when they arrested him.
Police eventually located the gun they believe was used in the robbery in the grass behind a home on the 10 block of East Fifth Street.
The gun was determined to have been stolen in a Proctor car prowl in April.
Dillard faces charges of Attempted Aggravated Robbery in the First Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Receiving Stolen Property.
Dillard’s bail was set at $60,000 during his first appearance in court on Monday, Aug. 18. His hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 10.
Police say the investigation is still active. Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
