Stabbing Leaves One Man Dead, Police Investigating

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A 54-year-old man is dead after reportedly being stabbed Friday night at a duplex in the 10 block of East 7th Street.

According to the Duluth Police Department, authorities were called to the duplex shortly after 10 p.m.

Police say the initial investigation found that the man went to the neighboring apartment and reported he had just been stabbed. He then asked them to call an ambulance.

When officers arrived, they found the man with a life threatening stab wound.

He was taken to Essentia St. Mary's hospital where he died around 11:30 p.m.

Authorities are waiting to identify the victim until after his family has been notified.

Police say no suspects are in custody, but the Duluth Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating several leads.

The Duluth Police Department is asking anyone with information related to the stabbing to call 911.
