Parents and neighbors are being encouraged, over the next several weeks, to join Duluth Public Schools in a series of discussions about the future of our education system. The initiative is called "Think Kids" and its goal is to get the community involved in laying out a roadmap for the future of our schools.

Superintendent Bill Gronseth says the campaign is about bringing the community together and deciding what we think education should look like.

Gronseth says it is important to get the community involved in the growth and evolution of the school district because these children are our future citizens.

"We are going to be asking people to think about the last five years and think about the things that are going well, and what needs improvement."

He says that from the over 50 meetings, the school district will be compiling a database from the respones. That information will be used in making future decisions.
