Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- One of the Duluth's "Property Crimes Wanted Person of the Week" was arrested over the weekend thanks to the public's help.

On Sunday, November 25th, police arrested 33 year old Luther Farris Johnson after they received a tip that he was seen along the 4300 Block of Three Lakes Road.

Deputies located Johnson at the residence and after a short foot pursuit he was taken into custody. He was arrested and transported to the Saint Louis County Jail.

Earlier this month, police sent out a news release asking for the public's help to track down Johnson for four arrest warrants against him. Two were felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance and for possession of a short-barreled shotgun. The other two were for misdemeanor warrants for fleeing police, tampering with a motor vehicle, driving after cancellation, and other traffic violations.

Johnson was booked on the warrants and also has pending formal charges of Fleeing a Peace Officer on Foot and 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.

During Johnson's arrest, police took another man into custody for allegedly aiding an offender. He was also transported to the Saint Louis County Jail and booked pending formal charges.

The Duluth Police Department would like to thank the public, the media and the Saint Louis County Sheriff’s Office for the collaborative effort which led to these arrests.
