Duluth teen sentenced to 25 years behind bars for stabbing murder

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Duluth teen has been sentenced to more than 25 years in prison for stabbing a man to death.

Enrique Robert Giner IV was sentenced to the St. Cloud Correctional Facility for second degree murder.

The 18 year old waived his right to a trial for the murder of 27 year old Bryan Starnes back in March.

Giner admitted to stabbing Starnes 57 times in the head, face, neck and back at an the victim's home in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Giner was 17 at the time of the murder and was originally charged as a juvenile. However, he waived his juvenile rights and was certified to stand trial as an adult in July.
