Virginia, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- An Eveleth man will spend more than five and a half years in prison as a result of an altercation near a bar in Virginia in April 2014.

29–year–old Michael Antwan Johnson pleaded guilty to charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and assault in the second degree.

On April 5, 2014 Virginia Police were patrolling the 100 block of 5th Avenue South, around two a.m., when several people said they had seen Johnson fire four or five rounds down Chestnut Street.

Johnson will spend the next near six years in prison in St. Cloud.
