Ashland Co., WI (Northland's NewsCenter) - The hot temperatures Monday caused a mess along Highway 2 near Ashland.
The county highway department says the pavement temps reached roughly 130 degrees.
Crews were forced to close the West bound, inside lane of traffic for about 3 and a half hours in order to make the fix.
