Facing Consequences: 20-year-old man will go before jury in Fortune Bay assault

Tower, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A man who pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree assault charges today in St. Louis County court will go before a jury.

On June 22nd 22– year old Tyler Bryan claimed he was lured through the dating site Meetme.com to Fortune Bay casino to meet 19–year–old Calli Padgett of Virginia.

He told police when he got there he was led down a path away from the casino where he was allegedly beaten by 20–year–old Dalton Richard of Virginia and a teenager from Gilbert.

The criminal complaint states Richard used brass knuckles during the beating. Bryan suffered multiple head injuries.

Richard and Padgett are facing charges of second degree assault in connection with Bryan’s beating.

Richard will go to trial in November. Padgett's assault case was continued into early September.

The Gilbert juvenile is scheduled for a court trial in mid-August.
