Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - 12 Northland celebrities took to the stage Thursday night in a friendly competition for a good cause.
Partnering up with professional dancers, they danced the night away during the Minnesota Ballet's 5th Annual Celebrity Dance Challenge, held at the Marshall School on Rice Lake Road. The event is the Ballet's biggest fundraiser of the year.
From a Rumba dance to Tango to everything in between, the couples displayed their fancy footwork. Four weeks of hard practice came down to one big night.
The Northland's NewsCenter's Kevin Jacobsen and his dance partner, Carrie Wanamaker, took home the award for "most enthusiastic." The two performed a two-step to the tune of "Fine Romance" by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.
