-- Duluth Fire Crews responded to what appeared to be smoke coming out of a downtown basement early this morning.
Upon further inspection, officials say a fire was started just outside the door at 30 East Second Street.
The blaze was quickly contained and put out; the origin of the fire is unknown at this time.
Approximately 18 fire fighters responded to the scene.
