Fire at Virginia Apartment Complex Causes $75K in Damage

Virginia, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A fire at an apartment complex in Virginia this morning caused about $75,000 in damage.

According to the Virginia Fire Department, responders were called to a fire at the Alice Nettell Tower, along 3rd avenue in Virgina, at 7:45 a.m. Sunday.

Fire officials say they found heavy smoke in the lobby of the building, but were able to contain the fire to the laundry area on the building's lower level.

No one was hurt as a result of the fire.

Officials say the cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Responding agencies included the Virginia Fire Department, Hibbing Fire Department, Mountain Iron Fire Department, Eveleth Fire Department, Fayal Fire Department and the Virginia Police Department.
