Fire crews battle house fire for hours in Two Harbors

Two Harbors, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Fire fighters spent hours this morning trying to put out a house fire in Two Harbors, MN.

Fire crews were called to the 2500 Block of Highway 3 in Lake County around 2am on the report of flames coming out of a house. Fire fighters had to request more man power, water and first aid around 4:30am to knock down the blaze.

Crews were finally about to put out the flames around 6:30 this morning.

Responders don't believe anyone was home during the fire. Authorities say the the fire may have started somewhere around the chimney or from something within the chimney.

Clifton, Two Harbors and Silver Bay fire departments responded to the incident.
