Superior, WI (Northland’s NewsCenter) – Four people have been arrested for their involvement in the rash of car break-ins over the past two months at Wisconsin Point and Canal Park in Duluth.
Further investigation shows that all four suspects have been part of a car prowling operation and had been working together as a team in the thefts.
On July 20, investigators with the Superior Police Department conducted surveillance on two suspects believed to be involved in the car prowls.
The four are all from Superior, and were taken into custody in West Duluth after they had checked out of a Duluth motel and had headed to another.
Many stolen items including purses, checkbooks, credit cards, electronics, cameras, etc., were recovered from their vehicle.
Officials say that two of them are believed to be responsible for 20 to 30 car break-ins over the past two months.
The two other suspects, were caught as they were breaking into cars on Wisconsin Point.
