Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Superior Police have arrested a fugitive sex offender who allegedly removed his GPS and fled his half way home in the Twin Cities.
According to authorities, Shah-Quran Aziz, a level 3 sex offender, removed his GPS bracelet and fled from his half-way house in St. Paul earlier this week.
Officials say that Aziz has a long criminal history and was considered a danger to the public.
The Minnesota Department of Corrections Fugitive Task Force received information that Aziz may be in Superior, WI. Minnesota authorities worked with the Superior Police Department to locate the suspect in the lobby area of the Clifford Lund Apartments along Tower Avenue.
Aziz was taken into custody without incident and is currently being lodged in the Douglas County Jail. He is awaiting transfer to the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
