St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton is out of the hospital and recovering following surgery last week.

The Governor, who turns 66 in a few weeks, underwent spinal surgery and according to surgeons at the Mayo Clinic it went as planned, without complications.

The Governor was expected to go home on Monday, but stayed an extra night.

Officials say he plans to work from the Governor's Residence as he recovers from the surgery.
