Grand Rapids, MN (NNCNOW.com) - One of the victims in last weekend's double shooting in Grand Rapids has died.

Grand Rapids Police said Saturday morning 59-year-old Rosemary Oberg-Johnson died from her injuries.

The other victim, 32-year-old Paul Russell Johnson, remains in critical condition in a Duluth hospital.

Police say the two were shot last Saturday when 26-year-old William Levi Payne allegedly entered their Grand Rapids home looking for his wife, Sarah Payne.

They were taken to a Duluth hospital in critical condition.

Police accused Payne of kidnapping Sarah that night at gunpoint. She had filed an order for protection against Payne four days before the shooting.

Payne was charged this week with eight felony counts, including attempted murder.

A candlelight vigil, prayer and moment of silence will be held in honor of the victims and to end domestic violence Saturday night at 8:15 at Blandin Beach in Grand Rapids.
