Portsmouth, VA (Northland's NewsCenter) - The US Coast Guard is still searching for the missing captain of the HMS Bounty that sunk off the east coast after taking on water in Hurricane Sandy.
63-year-old Captain, Robin Walbridge and 15 crew members were on board the 180 foot sailboat Sunday when they sent out a distress call.
In a dramatic rescue Monday morning the Coast Guard braved 40 mile per hour winds and 18 foot seas to pull 14 members to safety.
A 15th member, 42 year-old Claudene Christian, was found unresponsive late Monday.
She was later pronounced dead.
