(Northland’s NewsCenter) --- The Haunted Shack is entering its 19th season at a new venue, and this year, organizers promise a bigger and more terrifying experience for its guests.

For the past 15 years, the Haunted Shack called the Morgan Park Community Center its home.

But this year, the Haunted Shack will be on the grounds of the Buffalo House in Duluth.

Guests will experience a chilling walk through a labyrinth of terrors with live actors and spooky sounds, props and lights at every turn.

New attractions this year include a state of the art elevator and a haunted hayride called "Terror in Buffalo Valley."

With 2 semis of props and construction material pulled up to the doors, organizers say it's been a non-stop flow of construction and decorating.

"Being a larger facility, we have to build a lot more walls,” Patrick Stojevich, Chief Ghoul and Operations Director said. “Our acting is going to be changed around, even scarier that it was before. We are going to be more aggressive at it. The hay ride, we are really going to get down in and atcha on that."

All donated proceeds will be given to the Minnesota Special Olympics tri-fecta aquatics, basketball and weight lifting event held each spring in Duluth.

Guests are also encouraged to donate canned food items and coats to support the local food shelf and Northland Coat Drive.
