Duluth ,MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A forum is being held in Duluth to learn more about Minnesota's new health insurance exchange.
The Citizen's Federation is holding the public forum on Tuesday, May 7 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. The event will be at Holy Family Church at 2430 W. 3rd Street.
Mario Vargas, the state's Outreach manager for the Health Insurance Exchange, wlll be the main speaker. Jennifer Schultz, a health care economics expert and professor at UMD will also be on hand.
The Minnesota Health Insurance Exchange website will start on October 1 for people and small businesses to comparison shop for health insurance policies. It will also help people learn about and sign up for new federal subsidies, and to sign up for low income health care programs like medical assistance.
The public is encouraged to attend this meeting to find out what they can expect from the Exchange and to ask any questions you may have.
