Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- The co-owner of a construction company in Hermantown was sentenced Monday, after he hit another worker with a bucket of a backhoe.

48-year-old Michael Billman was charged with second degree assault and must follow a strict 2 year probation program as well as complete 100 hours of community service.

According to the criminal complaint Billman, of Saginaw, said he was trying to nudge the 26 year old victim.

Billman says it was because the man had been throwing equipment around and goofing off.

The victim suffered only minor injuries.
