Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.COM) -- The Highway 210 Bridge at Thomson is scheduled to reopen in early December.
The six-month long rehabilitation project was delayed due to June's severe flooding, which destroyed a 9 foot diameter overflow culvert located adjacent to the bridge.
A new bridge has been constructed to replace the overflow culvert.
When the St. Louis River is flowing at high volume, it can pass beneath the new bridge at far-greater volume than through the confines of a culvert, the Minnesota Department of Transportation says.
