Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)-- The future of a permanent injunction against Last Place on Earth is unclear after action from Jim Carlton's legal team.

Duluth City Attorney Gunner Johnson says Carlson's attorney is appealing a temporary injunction, declaring the downtown headshop a nuisance.

Now, both the City and Last Place's lawyers will submit briefs on whether the temporary injunction, mandating police presence at Last Place on Earth, will be upheld through the rest of the legal process.

City attorneys are attempting to shut down the shop for one year with the permanent injunction.
