Itasca County, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Itasca County experienced widespread damage due to a violent storm that rolled through the county on July 2.
There was an extensive amount of property damage and power outages which included several municipalities along the highway 2 corridor.
The Itasca County Sheriff's Department says that they are unable to identify the time frame for power restoration so its recommended that people conserve water and other resources to prepare for a chance of a long term power outage.
Officials ask to stay clear of downed power lines and trees.
