Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Jeff Anderson, 8th District Congressional Candidate is talking with students about educational opportunities within the district.
Minnesotans are just two days away from the primary election and Congressional Candidate, Jeff Anderson is fighting for the young to flourish.
Anderson talked with students and young professionals on UMD's campus today.
He described his plan to help reverse the trend of youngsters leaving the region after graduation.
By creating greater educational and economic opportunities for youth in the Northland, Anderson is hopeful they will want to stay and raise a family.
As a young adult, Anderson lived on the Iron Range.
He says his vast understanding of the entire region will help him win the primary election.
"I know the challenges and more importantly, the opportunities that face us here in Northern Minnesota, and I promise you this, whatever happens on Tuesday, whether I win or I lose, I will still be living here in Duluth and in the 8th Congressional District," Anderson said.
Candidates Rick Nolan and Tarryl Clark are also hoping to up-seat Republican Congressman Chip Cravaack in November.
