Cloquet, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Multiple people are facing murder charges in connection with the death of a Floodwood woman.
22-year-old Michael Siewert of Duluth has been charged with 2nd degree murder. 17-year-old Joseph Yellow has also been charged with the same crime.
Police say Siewert and Yellow are part of the Native Mob, a regional gang that specializes in drug dealing and violent intimidation.
Two others, Clifford Thompson and Alyssa Peterson are charged with aiding an offender, accomplice after the fact.
Police say Cristyna Watson was missing for about a month before authorities found her found body outside a home on the Fond du Lac Reservation last week.
According to a criminal complaint, both Siewert and Yellow knew Watson and planned to rob her and take her car.
The vehicle was recovered in the Twin Cities area and sold in exchange for controlled substances.
Authorities say that between September 12th and 14th, Siewert and Yellow assaulted Watson by hitting her in the head with a hammer.
Ramsey County medical officials did confirm the blunt force trauma, but say Watson died of strangulation.
In an interview with authorities, Yellow admitted he was with Siewert that night of the alleged murder, and saw him hit Watson with a hammer.
Yellow also said he personally assisted with strangling Watson and helped conceal the body on Fond du Lac, off of Reservation Road.
The investigation is still on going and evidence still needs to be processed.
