Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Many Northland kids are enjoying their holiday break away from the classroom, but it doesn't mean that the learning has to stop.

Hartley Nature Center is offerring a Holiday Break Camp to get kids outside to explore the great outdoors.

The event includes making ornaments out of bird seed, sledding, hiking, identifying animal tracks and learning about nature.

Sixty children between the ages of four and nine are taking part in the two day event.

"It's good for kids to learn about nature at a young age and learn that appreciation so that later on in life they still have that appreciation and love for nature," said Jenni Stafford, a Hartley Winter Camp instructor.

If you missed this week's camp in Duluth, Hartley Nature Center will be hosting another camp February 18-22.
