Longville Man Pleads Guilty to Murder

Walker, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Longville man has pleaded guilty to murder in connection with the slaying of a Walker man last year.

24 year old Frank Jesse LaRose pleaded guilty to 2nd Degree Murder for the death of 31 year old James Raymond Elmberg of Walker, MN.

Authorities say that LaRose and Elmberg as well as other friends had been drinking together during the day and into the evening and early morning hours of February 4th and 5th of 2012.

During the course of the night, LaRose and another individual began to argue when Elmberg intervened.

LaRose said said that he thought Elmberg was lunging at him and struck him in the chest with a knife. LaRose stated that he did not intend to kill Elmberg.

LaRose is scheduled to be sentenced on April 4th in the Cass County Courthouse.
