St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Governor Mark Dayton has signed off on a bill providing disaster relief to 18 Minnesota Counties following devastating storms in June.
Both the House and Senate approved the $4.7 million measure Monday in a special session.
The money will be matched by federal aid.
The storms this summer caused $17.8 million in damages.
Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk released the following statement:
“Minnesotans come together to support one another after natural disasters and the legislature is no exception. I’m proud of the State Senate for taking this important step to ensure communities across our state can fully recover from the damage caused by severe storms earlier this year.”
