Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Legislative leaders will announce a bill Wednesday morning granting same-sex couples the freedom to marry in Minnesota.
The bipartisan measure follows last November's historic amendment defeat.
A rally at the capitol this month featured more than 2 thousand Minnesotans calling on state lawmakers to change the law.
The historic legislation is co-authored by Senator Scott Dibble (DFL - Minneapolis) and DFL Representatives Karen Clark (DFL - Minneapolis) and Steve Simon (DFL - St. Louis Park) along with Republican Senator Branden Petersen.
The bill will be formally introduced on Thursday.
