International Falls, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Minnesota organization is matching service dogs with Veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

Joe Buzay of International Falls and Frankie were one of the first matches for the non-profit called Patriot Assistance Dogs.

The 49-year-old Army Veteran served at the battle of Mogadishu where three of his buddies were killed.

The years that followed have been a battle in themselves.

"I took enough pills to drop a Clydesdale,” Buzay said. “The Doctors didn't think I was going to make it."

But Buzay did make it and today, with the help of Frankie he is rebuilding his life.
