Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - When most people think of the phenomenally successful Grandma's Marathon Race, in Duluth, they think of the man who started the event and watched over it for 37 years.

Scott Keenan retired in August of 2013 with a heavy heart.

Two of the Grandma's Marathon board members had died of Pancreatic Cancer.

The passing of those close to him, as well as a close friend being diagnosed with the disease, has inspired him to work closely with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to fight for a cure.
