A man has been accused of trying to sell two bear cubs at a Nevada gas station, according to reports.
According to KCRA, the California Department of Fish and Game wardens received a tip that a man was attempting to sell caged bear cubs at the gas station, north of San Juan.
The man said he shot the bear cubs' mother in self-defense and then took in the cubs.
According to the man, the mother bear stole dog food on his property three nights in a row.
