Man Involved in Stabbing Murder on LCO Reservation, Pleads Guilty

Sawyer County, WI (NNCNOW.com) -- One of the two suspects who were charged with the stabbing death of 23 year old John McDaniel on the LCO reservation in Hayward, pleaded guilty to First Degree Reckless Homicide.

19 year old, Caleb Miller also pleaded guilty to aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.

According to authorities, a witness saw Miller and 22 year old, Marvin Corbine, enter McDaniel's home in April of 2011, shortly before the murder.

McDaniel's brother Derrick was also seriously injured.

Miller is scheduled to be sentenced in March where the state is recommending a cap of 40 years in prison.

The other man allegedly involved in the murder, Corbine, is still in custody and is awaiting a jury trial on two counts of 1st degree intentional homicide, aggravated battery, criminal trespass to a dwelling and bail jumping.
