Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - The man who broke into a Duluth judge's home on New Year's Day has been sentenced.

Yesterday, 26 year old Daniel Scheer was sentenced to two years probation for breaking into Judge Shaun Floreke's home.

Scheer entered the home by breaking a window. Judge Floerke held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

According to police, he was intoxicated to the point of not being able to talk and refused to take a breathalyzer test.

Police say Scheer didn't know whose house it was that he broke into but it did appear that he was involved in a nearby fight earlier in the night.

Scheer was also ordered to undergo a chemical dependency evaluation, and stay out of bars.
