Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - On Monday the region's 8th District will see a new face on the Minnesota Board of Regents. The Legislature's Commission on Higher Education has nominated Duluthian David McMillan to take over the coveted regent's position.

McMillan serves as the Executive Vice President of Minnesota Power and the Senior Vice President of Marketing, Regulatory & Public Affairs for ALLETE.
The announcement was made during a legislative breakfast in St. Paul today.

The legislature historically appoints the person selected by higher education commission.
Regents sit on the board for a six year term.
