Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Minnesota Department of Health has issued no water contact advisories for several beaches in northeast Minnesota.
Water contact is not recommended for 20th Street and Hearding Island on the harbor-side of Park Point in Duluth, the French River, and Lakewalk Beaches in Duluth, Agate Bay and Burlington Bay in Two Harbors.
Beaches at Paradise and Durfee Creek in Grand Marais have also been posted "no water contact".
Health officials identified elevated E. coli bacteria and possible presence of fecal contamination from samples collected.
If anyone becomes ill after contact with beach water, you're asked to contact the Minnesota Department of Health.
