Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - The Northland Honor Flight has received more applications than seats available for the special trip this spring to Washington D.C.
But, organizers say that shouldn't stop interested World War II veterans from applying. The flight will bring 100 veterans along with care takers to the Nation's Capitol in May to visit war memorials and give them the chance to reflect.
The Honor flight is still looking to raise money to make it possible. A Spaghetti dinner will help that cause coming up on Saturday (2/26).
The fundraiser will be held at Mr. D's in West Duluth from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
