Tower, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The three people who allegedly had a plan to brutally beat up a man, luring him to a location by using a dating website, are facing consequences.

Their alleged plan: Have a young woman lure a man to a casino, and then have two men attack him.

The three were arraigned on Friday, June 27 on charges of second degree assault for an incident that happened on Sunday, June 22.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says 22–year–old Tyler Bryan of Ely, MN, was lured to Fortune Bay Casino in Tower, MN, by 19–year–old Calli Padgett of Virginia, MN, via the website Meetme.com.

According to authorities, once Bryan arrived at the casino, Padgett led him down a path to a "pre–determined" location, where he was allegedly attacked and beaten by 20–year–old Dalton Richard of Virginia, MN, and by a 16–year–old young man from Gilbert, MN.

The criminal complaint states that Richard used brass knuckles during the beating, and had a bandana tied around his face. The criminal complaint also states that Richard wanted the beating videotaped, but it was not.

The lead investigator, Steve Heinrich, says the three suspects selected Bryan by random on Meetme.com. There are possibly other victims out there that the three targeted on the internet, according to Heinrich.

Heinrich hopes those victims will come forward, and he says you can contact 911 with that information.

Padgett and Richard have both been charged with assault in the second degree which is a felony offense. They were both granted a public defender and bail for each person has been set at $15,000. Padgett was referred for a supervised release evaluation.

The penalty for assault in the second degree is a maximum sentence of seven years in prison and/or $14,000 if the victim does not suffer from substantial bodily harm.

The juvenile's punishment has not been made public at this time, but he appeared in court this past Friday along with the others. Heinrich says he also requested that the juvenile be charged with second degree assault.

Bryan suffered multiple head injuries due to the attack and was brought to Ely Hospital; he was treated for his injuries and released.

Padgett, Richard and the young man were later located after the incident and were arrested. Richard is being detained pending further proceedings. Padgett and Richard's omnibus hearings are scheduled for August 4th.
