Petition: Make Monday Following Superbowl Sunday National Holiday

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - For anyone who has stayed up late to watch the Superbowl only to bear the consequences come Monday morning, you are not alone.

More than 14,000 people have signed a White House petition to make the Monday following Superbowl Sunday a national holiday.

The petition was started by a group from 4for4.com Fantasy Football and is asking the Obama administration to declare the holiday, in order to 'promote a productive workplace when work resumes on Tuesday.'

The petition needs a total of 100,000 signatures by February 23rd in order for it to be considered by the Obama administration.
