Cloquet, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Authorities have confirmed that a Floodwood woman, missing for nearly a month is a victim of a violent homicide.
Cristyna Watson was last seen September Eighth. Her body was found Thursday evening outside a home on the Fond du Lac Reservation.
The circumstances surrounding her death aren't clear at this time since the investigation is on going.
Right now, there is no motive, no reason how she died, but police do have one suspect.
"The suspect is Watson's death is in custody and is expected to be charged as early as next week," said Cloquet Police Chief Wade Lamirande.
Michael Siewert, a Duluth man who has a history of weapon possession was arrested and incarcerated Thursday in an unrelated crime; he's who police believe killed Watson.
"We believe that this incident was not a random act and we believe we have the responsible person in custody and we don't think the public is in any danger."
But police do say danger exists with a growing gang problem on Fond du Lac.
"We have detained and interviewed several individuals in relation to this case including the suspect and all of them have been identified as Native Mob gang members," said Lamirande.
A gang that is becoming more violent, and more present.
Cristyna Watson was 25–years–old. Messages of sympathy and compassion have poured into a facebook page dedicated to Wastson.
