VIRGINIA, MN (Northland's NewsCenter)---Despite a court ruling that the city of Virginia cannot fire Police Chief Dana Waldron, a law enforcement union official told the Civil Service Commission today that they're not happy with the situation.

A request by Virginia city administrators to have the commission review the decision is pending.

Meanwhile the union is requesting that the Civil Service Commission release its trial report, but in a case that doesn't result in discharge, suspension or demotion it's not legally required for the commission to publish a report.

The Police Civil Service Commission adjourned today without discussion the union's concerns

"The union is disappointed that though the trial covered everything involved in the vote of no confidence, the most significant violations were effectively ignored," Lt. Chad Nickila, president of Local 195 said. "He was re-instated without any report of explanation as to how such a decision was reached."

Union spokespeople say Chief Waldron's previous behavior will not be forgotten or forgiven.
