President Obama made a statement from the white house Rose Garden this Saturday afternoon regarding Syria.

The President said he has made two decisions after examining the use of chemical weapons in Syria.

He has decided that the US will take limited military action against Syrian regime targets.

President Obama will also seek authorization for use of force from the American people's Representatives in Congress.

The president calls the bombings "an attack on human dignity" and says they "could lead to escalating use of chemical weapons."

Congress is scheduled to be back in session September, 9th.
