Red Cross Assisting Family in Nashwauk Blaze

Nashwauk, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Northland Chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting a family who lost their home to a fire on Wednesday.

Red Cross officials say that they are providing lodging and food to the family after their home on the 200 Block of Third Street in Nashwauk went up in flames.

The Northland Chapter responds to about 100 local disaster annually. Red Cross disaster relief includes emergency housing, food, clothing, medicine and medical supplies, eyeglasses, health services, and disaster counseling.

Relief takes the form of preloaded debit cards, that are used in local businesses by clients.
